Our trip was most enjoyable

Our trip was most enjoyable. Even before we had started Lucretia's admin was calm and reassuring. The estancia is truly beautiful and efficiently run. The laundry service was amazing with shooting clothes returned the following day without even asking. The food and house wines were top class. Alex kept our glasses full. I took my son Harry on this trip and he said that the steaks were the best he has ever had. Certainly for Brits, I think you can be less adventurous for breakfasts. We felt a little guilty by ignoring the breakfast cheeseburgers, nachos and other cheesy breakfast comestibles. The field staff worked hard to get us in positions where we would have plenty of shooting. Clearly it is more difficult in August but that is nature. Our birdboy team were good company with the correct balance of action, praise, feedback and laughter. And the cold beers in the vehicle on the way home were some of the best! We will be back with H&H again soon. Harry has immediately started a shooting savings plan to come again so you have hooked the next generation. Congratulations to the whole team.

We LOVED Guayascate, as always! Can't tell you how much we appreciate the extra effort you put into the details of making our stay the best it could be. Not only is the service of your staff exceptional... but the facility looks like it did when we first started coming... spotless! I loved the extra special touches with the leather passport holders and chimichurri recipe jar. Both will get used for sure! You pay so much attention to things that our group liked — even going out of your way to get the mini photo printer and putting pictures of us in the guest book. I loved that! The hunting was excellent and Argentino was professional and courteous, as always. Our kids loved shooting — and Guayascate as a whole. I had asked on the last day if the dining staff could come out and sit with us, and that meant so much that they could do that. We really enjoyed getting to sit and talk with them. The food and wine was 5 star quality, and so was the presentation. Alejandro and Fernando went out of their way to meet everyone's requests.

Everything thing was over the top good and exceeded my expectation in every way.

It's been three years since I was able to make the trip. I've told everyone that HYH has upped their game since I was there last. Thank you for a wonderful week of hunting at Guayascate. Raybourne and I had so much fun bird hunting. The food and hospitality were incredible. It was an incredible experience that we will always remember. Hopefully I can return soon with all of my family. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

I literally cannot rate the trip highly enough

So where to begin — I literally cannot rate the trip highly enough. The weather was very British but these things happen, not much to be done about that! Everything else though was even better than I could have hoped. The staff were all charming, the facilities perfect and the food the best that I have had in Argentina. I really could not recommend the place highly enough to anyone. Really though pass on my thanks to the team, they were brilliant!

Excellence!

I only need one word to review the hunt and accommodations: excellence. The entire team and lodge were outstanding as usual. I feel like family at La Porteñita and the lodge feels like home. Thank you for helping us honor my father on this trip and for all the special treatment. HYH is the best, hands down.

Nothing could have been better!

Nothing could have been better! My wife, Karen, came with me this year and she said it was the most relaxing week she has ever had. The lodge was great again and I cannot think of any way to improve it. Enzo and the kitchen staff pulled off what I did not think was possible — the food was even better this year. The hunting was great and Pato and Calolo did a masterful job of putting us on the birds. Sebastian was my bird boy for the 4th or 5th year running and I could not ask for someone more dedicated to making my experience great. Everyone gets 5 stars out of five.

HYH deserves the "Nobel Prize" for Dove Hunting & Hospitality!!!!!

I think this was my 13th year with HYH; my 4th or 5th year at La Porteñita. The service, the attention to detail, the wonderful staff, the incredible dove shooting — it's "Heaven on Earth". I honestly can't see any room for improvement. If anything, Chef Enzo upped his culinary game this year. The food was fantastic! Daniella escorted our wives around town and showed them a great time in Jesus Maria. Pato & Calolo put us on the kind of birds we love — fast and sporty in the wind. The field lunches were wonderful as usual! The staff at La Porteñita are the best and have become friends over the years.

It is hard to really express how special this trip really was

I have just returned to London after an incredible trip at Guayascate Lodge. Myself and Malcolm have hunted birds all over the world and we both agreed that the experience with HYH in Cordoba was the best trip we've ever had. The lodge was fantastic, beautifully designed with large comfortable rooms in a stunning location. The dining room & wine room made for perfect dinner settings and we loved the outside area by the fire to relax after dinner and enjoy a whisky and cigar. The food at the lodge was top quality, and the variation in meats was really fun. The hunting was a new experience for all of us. The pure volume of birds was quite astonishing, the variety of locations and blinds made every hunt a unique experience. Francisco was the best professional hunter I have ever met, and his cooking skills were very impressive. The lunches in the fields were simply awesome! He is a legend.

We had an incredible time

Dani, Pato and all of the staff were amazing. They were all so kind and welcoming. The service has been above and beyond from the beginning. The food was also phenomenal — we never had a bite we didn't love. We were so sorry to leave and are all hoping to return in the coming years. Thank you for all of your time and assistance! It was truly an unforgettable trip for all. The shooting surpassed all the hunters' expectations as well. It was a great week.

The best part of our trip which surpassed expectations was the people of Guayascate

Alex and Zeke, I have been wanting to travel to Argentina to hunt doves since I was 16. When I was finally able to make that dream a reality some 14 years later, choosing a destination was not easy. From what I read and learned from those that visited frequently, most everyone had quality dove shoots. Most came back speaking of the people and the amenities. The best part of our trip which surpassed expectations was the people of Guayascate. The Lodge felt like home and the cleaning staff was always doing their job without you ever knowing they were there. The Food: the quality was excellent. Francisco, Miguel and Coro made the entire trip for Anne and I — they went above and beyond for us and by the end made us want to come back to see them again.

Exceeded our expectations

We thank you and your staff again for a wonderful trip. Everything, I mean everything, was first class. While our last trip was to Guayascate, and we didn't think that was possible to beat, La Porteñita and its staff exceeded our expectations. The hunting was fantastic (40,000 in 3½ days), the field staff and equipment was flawless, and Danni and the Lodge staff were second to none. We will certainly call HYH when the next opportunity to get to Argentina presents itself!!

The amazing thing is that each year only gets better! I don't see how anything could have been improved. Everything was just perfect and so enjoyable. This is one of our favorite things to do — go hang out at La Porteñita and forget about the rest of the world.

Truly spectacular hunting each year

Hi Zeke: I honestly can say after 13 years with HYH at Rio Seco, La Loma and La Porteñita that the McGehee Group would not consider any other outfitter. Porteñita is better than any Four Seasons I have ever stayed in. The beds and linens are so comfortable. The cuisine, both in the field and at the lodge, is stellar. The shooting remains as good as it has ever been — I keep thinking that one year the shooting will be sub-par but, amazingly it gets better each year! Pato knows the type of birds we like and always strives to get us the fast crossers, high birds and incomers as well as a mixed bag of presentations. What makes La Porteñita so special is the fantastic staff. Daniella, Pato and Calolo are wonderfully gracious people without a hint of pretention. They always make us feel that La Porteñita is our home away from home.

The shooting was the best

Feedback you requested is as follows — The Lodge: gave more of an intimate homely feel than Guayascate. The Food: the quality of the food was excellent. The Hunting: being my fourth trip with you I think the shooting was the best so far. Being British I like to think we go for quality more than quantity, and the guides did their utmost to put us under quality birds. The Guns: the Berettas are perfect for the job. The Guides and field assistants: Faultless. To sum up it was a fantastic trip with good friends, made even more pleasurable by your staff's service and attention on every level.

The Lodge: I am very fond of that type of lodge — I like the rustic look. The Food: outstanding, perhaps too much quantity. I loved it at the time! The Hunting: spectacular. The Guns: appropriate. The Guides and field assistants: outstanding, faultless. The Equipment: adequate.

Highly enjoyable three days

Once again we had a great trip with you last week. The lodge, food, service and general ambiance is fantastic. We were fortunate to have some of your new guns so we had less misfires than in previous years. Pato and Collolo are a credit to your company and matched our wish to shoot high birds with the locations they picked for us. We had a highly enjoyable three days.

I thank H&H for providing me and my friends the absolute best time of my life

The lodge was beautiful and very well decorated — the grounds were beautiful and well manicured. Daniela and staff treated us like we were kings, and that is so much appreciated for normal country boys. The chef did an exceptional job with every meal and I managed to gain 7lbs on this trip. Pato is the best — and listening to him and his brother go at it about who is best at everything is so entertaining and extremely funny. As far as the field assistance, I was so lucky to receive Marcelo. He improved my shooting from 60% on the first day to 86% on the last. He was so patient with me and continued to make me a better hunter. I thank H&H for providing me and my friends the absolute best time of my life and I can't wait for my next hunt.

"Leaving La Porteñita was like leaving home."

Alex and Zeke, as you know I have visited you several times since 1995, but July 8–14, 2014, was the best trip ever, because I took my entire family. The first complaint that I heard, 10 minutes after we arrived, was from my youngest daughter who is 17 years old. She told me the staff was "too polite and helpful". The only other complaint was the day we left, my oldest daughter, who is 23, said she was sad because "leaving La Porteñita was like leaving home." I cannot thank your staff enough for the experience that they made possible for my family. We have not stopped talking about Pato, Danielta, Claudio and the friends they all made with the guides. My oldest daughter just called to let me know that she already had the flight information for the next trip. THANKS AGAIN GUYS for providing a wonderful experience for myself, my wife and the "kids".

I can only speak for myself, but in all the times hunting in Argentina and Uruguay, this has been the best of the best. The staff, the staff — they provided all one could ask for and more.
